CBT Sessions

Once your treatment plan has been developed, you and your counselor will spend the majority of your time together examining your thoughts and developing new, more positive ways of thinking. There may also be a focus on scheduling activities and developing experiments to help you feel better. At the beginning of every session, you and your counselor will set an agenda for what you want to discuss during the session. Once the agenda is set, you and your counselor will discuss your issues in-depth, with your counselor teaching you various strategies as needed. Each session will end with you summarizing what you got out of the meeting and setting an action plan for you to work on until the next session.
